Our client is a leading engineering and manufacturing company based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. Due to increased demand in the manufacturing department and quality control, they are looking for an experienced CMM Quality Inspector.
Duties:
- Inspection, including 1st off, patrol, and outgoing.
- Assisting in effective management of the entire measurement and test equipment calibration system.
- CMM programming in line with company standards.
- Setting of adjustable MTE for use by manufacturing operators.
- Compiling routine final inspection trend analysis and reports.
- Compilation of inspection report blanks.
- Raising and following up QA NCRs.
- Compilation and submission of various customer documentation packs.
- Communicating with customers.
Essential Attributes and Desirable Experience:
- Good knowledge of programming CMMs.
- Knowledge of QMS system is advantageous.
- PCliterate with competence in Microsoft Office.
- Good knowledge of inspection techniques, including:
- The ability to interpret mechanical engineering drawings and determine appropriate measuring techniques.
- The ability to produce credible management reports.
