Our client is a leading engineering and manufacturing company that provides mechanical components for the Oil and Gas industry. Due to increased demand in the Engineering department, they are looking for a Principal Piping & Layout Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Have extensive piping and layout design experience in Concept, FEED, and EPC projects, with a full understanding of piping requirements for each project phase.
- Lead a team of engineers and designers effectively.
- Be organized and capable of working with all levels of the organization.
- Understand the commercial aspects of engineering contracting, including developing discipline proposals and man-hour estimates.
- Manage client design reviews, collaborate with clients, and present strong design solutions.
- Proven track record in delivering onshore and offshore engineering solutions to oil and gas clients.
Skills and Experience required:
- Experience in concept/FEED/EPC oil and gas projects.
- Good understanding of piping materials, pipe stress, and flexibility requirements.
- Ability to plan piping activities on projects.
- Capability to prepare 2D conceptual layout studies for onshore and offshore facilities.
- Strong experience with 3D design tools, preferably PDMS E3D.
- Excellent technical report writing skills.
- Flexible and responsive to client requirements.
- Willingness to travel overseas, sometimes at short notice.
