Due to new procedures in the company they have an opportunity for an Expeditor.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Work with vendors to coordinate the timing and means of delivery.
- Ensure timely deliveries from suppliers to enable the production department to meet customer deliveries.
- Pull forward requests – to improve delivery dates.
- Process and send back goods inwards rejects, expedited back into the Company.
- Cover for goods inwards.
- Handle supplier queries / paperwork in a timely manner.
- Resolve technical and engineering queries with support of the Engineering Department.
- Ensure that the dye pen board is maintained and orders are shipped and delivered as required.
- Handle any queries relating to vendor service, such as poor product quality or delivery delays, in a timely manner.
- Keep an inventory of goods on hand and track orders from placement through to delivery.
- Ensure that the appropriate goods are transferred to each department in a timely manner.
Person Specification
- Experience of working in the Engineering sector.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexible approach, able to adapt to changing requirements.
- Computer literate.
- Attention to detail.
