Our client is a leading, well established andrespected manufacturing business.

Due to new procedures in the company they have an opportunity for an Expeditor.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Work with vendors to coordinate the timing and means of delivery.
  • Ensure timely deliveries from suppliers to enable the production department to meet customer deliveries.
  • Pull forward requests – to improve delivery dates.
  • Process and send back goods inwards rejects, expedited back into the Company.
  • Cover for goods inwards.
  • Handle supplier queries / paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Resolve technical and engineering queries with support of the Engineering Department.
  • Ensure that the dye pen board is maintained and orders are shipped and delivered as required.
  • Handle any queries relating to vendor service, such as poor product quality or delivery delays, in a timely manner.
  • Keep an inventory of goods on hand and track orders from placement through to delivery.
  • Ensure that the appropriate goods are transferred to each department in a timely manner.

Person Specification

  • Experience of working in the Engineering sector.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexible approach, able to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Computer literate.
  • Attention to detail.
