EP Group are seeking a Vehicle Technician to be based at our Global Headquarters in Birmingham. This role will service, repair and maintain our growing fleet of FLTs, PPTs and LGVs. Working closely with our Warehouse, Transport and Production Teams, you will respond to vehicle breakdowns in a timely manner to ensure vehicle downtime is kept to a minimum.

Shifts / Hours: Monday to Friday OR Tuesday to Saturday 7am - 5pm OR 10am to 8pm

Responsibilities - Vehicle Technician

  • Responsible for the repair, maintenance and servicing of our fleet of FLTs and LGVs
  • Reactive breakdown coverage across the site
  • Develop a proactive maintenance and service plan for our existing fleet of vehicles
  • Diagnose any breakdowns and order the required parts for repair
  • Develop a network of spare parts suppliers that meet our fleet requirements
  • Prepare the fleet to comply with Loler regulations

Experience required - Vehicle Technician

  • Proven experience in the repair and maintenance of Forklift Trucks (FLT) / Automotive / Plant machinery / LGV
  • Proven experience of managing a fleet of FLTs (mandatory) and LGVs (desirable)
  • Strong background in the maintenance and repair of FLTs
