EP Group is an award‑winning, global packaging manufacturer with production facilities across Europe and South East Asia. Our global headquarters in Birmingham is the base for our dedicated paper manufacturing division, providing a wide range of food packaging products for customers such as McDonald’s, Amazon, Marks & Spencer and Greggs. We are now seeking a National Account Manager for our GNFR division. The role will focus on driving growth across accounts in Grocery Retail, non‑Food Retail, Foodservice and Food manufacturing markets. The successful candidate will strategically manage existing accounts and develop business within new customers. Each account must operate profitably, with financial targets and KPIs met or exceeded, and growth sales strategies must remain competitive and innovative.

Key Responsibilities – National Account Manager

  • Develop a deep understanding of each account
  • Deliver revenue and profitability targets through the successful retention, management and growth of an existing account portfolio
  • Ensure all commercial proposals remain profitable throughout the contract life
  • Maintain attractive contracts and stocking arrangements
  • Drive growth through existing customers and seek out new opportunities in current and emerging markets
  • Accept joint responsibility for stock management and the business cost‑to‑serve model
  • Build commercially viable pricing based on industry knowledge and assumed costs

Experience Required – National Account Manager

  • Minimum of 5 years in a customer‑facing Account Management or Business Development role
  • Experience supplying into a retail environment
  • Commercial acumen and contract knowledge
  • Ability to engage at senior level within customer accounts
  • Knowledge of global supply chains
  • Operational mindset
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of packaging, paper bag manufacturing or GNFR preferred
  • Accurate analytical and detail‑oriented skill set
  • Successful track record of delivering sales targets, securing profitable new business and driving innovation and growth
  • PC literacy and MS Office competence, including strong Excel and maths skills
