EP Group is an award winning, global packaging manufacturer with production facilities across Europe and South East Asia. Our global headquarters in Birmingham is home to our dedicated paper manufacturing division providing a wide range of food packaging products for the likes of McDonalds, Amazon, Marks & Spencer and Greggs.
We are now seeking a National Account Manager in our GNFR division, to be responsible for driving growth across accounts within the following markets - Grocery Retail, non-Food Retail, Foodservice and Food manufacturing. The role will focus on the strategic management of existing accounts along with developing business within new customers.
You will ensure each account operates profitably and that financial targets and KPIs are met/exceeded. You will develop key growth sales strategies ensuring that we remain competitive and innovative. Customers will be at the forefront of your mind always ensuring their wants and needs are fully understood.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a deep understanding of each account.
- The delivery of revenue and profitability targets through the successful retention, management and growth of an existing account portfolio.
- Ensure all commercial proposals are tight through the life of the contract, remaining profitable at all times.
- Contracts/Stocking arrangements are in place and attractive.
- Deliver growth through existing customers and seek out new opportunities through current and new emerging markets.
- Accept joint responsibility for Stock Management.
- Have joint responsibility for the business Cost to serve model.
- Building commercially viable pricing based on industry knowledge and assumed costs.
- Fully understand their wants and needs and aim to exceed them.
- Establish relationships at Senior Level.
- Build collaborative partnerships.
- A minimum of 5 years in a customer facing Account Management / Business Development role.
- Working in / supplying into a retail environment.
- Be commercially astute.
- Have contract knowledge.
- Ability to engage at Senior Level within customer accounts.
- Knowledge of global supply chain.
- Be operationally minded.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of packaging / paper bag manufacturing or GNFR would be preferable.
- Accurate analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management both internally and externally.
- A successful and consistent record of delivering sales targets.
- A successful track record of securing profitable new business.
- A track record of delivering innovation and profitable growth.
- PC Literate, MS Office.
- Competent Excel skills.
- Number orientated/strong maths skills.
