We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing specialist construction business near Slough.

This is a key commercial role for an experienced QS who is confident managing projects from pre-contract through to final account, with strong experience across both construction and civils/groundworks. The role is hybrid and the salary is around £85,000 depending on experience.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects, working closely with operational teams, clients, subcontractors and senior management. You will be involved across the full project lifecycle:

  • Pre-contract cost planning and commercial support
  • Subcontractor procurement and tender management
  • Cost analysis and financial reporting
  • Commercial risk and opportunity management
  • Contract administration
  • Interim valuations and payment applications
  • Variations, change control and commercial negotiations
  • Final account preparation and settlement
  • Providing commercial advice and support to project teams

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in Quantity Surveying
  • A strong background in construction and civils/groundworks
  • Experience working with both JCT and NEC forms of contract
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and financial management
  • Extensive experience in construction procurement and subcontract management
  • Strong experience managing final accounts
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction or a related discipline
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
