We are currently recruiting for a German speaking Travel Executive on behalf of a client in Edinburgh. In this role, you will be responsible for quoting and booking travel enquiries while delivering exceptional service to our clients and maintaining strong supplier relationships. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is passionate about inbound tourism and client service. The role will focus on the German speaking market, which is why fluency in German is required. Previous B2B experience working at a DMC, preferably within individual or small group travel, is essential.
Responsibilities
- Ensure client reservations are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Produce quotations and manage bookings in a timely fashion.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Develop business from new and existing clients.
- Support sales and marketing campaigns and represent the company's interests.
- Work closely with other departments to understand client needs and market insights.
- Assist with supervision and training of more junior members of the team.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience working in travel and tourism, ideally at a DMC.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to organise and prioritise multiple workloads effectively.
- Clear understanding of the tourism market in the UK and Ireland.
