Dutch Speaking Event Manager (6-Month Fixed Term Contract)


About the Role

I am seeking an experienced and highly organised Event Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of a key event over a 6-month period. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple projects from conception to completion with confidence and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute a range of events, including conferences, corporate events, webinars, workshops, trade shows, and internal events.
  • Develop event strategies, timelines, budget plans, and project documentation to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Source and coordinate with vendors, venues, speakers, and suppliers, ensuring strong relationships and cost-effective decisions.
  • Oversee event logistics, including registration, attendee management, AV requirements, catering, branding, signage, and on-site coordination.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Communications, and Leadership teams to align event objectives and messaging.
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and provide post-event reports on KPIs, ROI, attendance, and overall impact.
  • Ensure all events meet brand standards, compliance requirements, and health & safety protocols.
  • Lead on-site event management, including team coordination, troubleshooting, and ensuring a seamless attendee experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance attendee engagement, and implement event best practices.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Bilingual Dutch & English
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in event management across multiple event types and scales.
  • Proven track record in planning and delivering successful corporate or large-scale events.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Confidence in negotiating with vendors and managing budgets.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends based on event schedules.
