EG Group are looking for an Interim Management Accountant to join the Finance team on a single 3 month contract. The role supports the delivery of accurate and timely management accounts, financial reporting, and performance analysis across the business. Report to the Finance Manager and play a key role in month-end processes, balance sheet control, budgeting, and financial analysis, aiding decision making and driving business performance. The role is suited to a part-qualified accountant wishing to develop experience in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.

What you’ll be doing
- Producing accurate monthly management accounts, journals and balance sheet reconciliations within agreed deadlines.
- Leading or supporting month-end processes, ensuring reporting is accurate, complete and aligned with Group requirements.
- Supporting variance and trend analysis, providing insights into financial performance across sites and cost centres.
- Working closely with operational and commercial teams to support budgeting, forecasting and business decision-making.
- Managing balance sheet controls, fixed asset accounting and ensuring financial risks are appropriately identified and managed.
- Assisting with quarterly reporting, statutory audits and ad-hoc finance projects as required.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of finance processes, controls and reporting efficiency.

What we’re looking for
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA).
- Previous experience in a Management Accounting or Assistant Management Accounting role.
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
- Good understanding of month-end processes, journals, reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to work closely with operational stakeholders and support decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across the business.
- Proactive, adaptable and eager to continue developing within a finance career.
