About the Role

EG Group are looking for a Credit Control Team Leader to join the Transaction Shared Services team at Head Office.

In this role, you will lead a team of Credit Controllers, ensuring effective debt collection processes are in place to maximise cash flow and minimise financial risk.

You will play a key role in driving team performance, maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting the wider Accounts Receivable function.

This role combines hands‑on operational delivery with people leadership and would suit someone who is confident managing a team while driving continuous improvement across credit control processes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and developing a team of Credit Controllers, driving performance and supporting individual development.
  • Managing day-to-day credit control activities to ensure outstanding debts are collected in line with company policies and payment terms.
  • Monitoring aged debt and driving improvements in DSO and overall debtor performance.
  • Ensuring accurate records of collection activity, payment promises, and account status are maintained.
  • Managing team workload and prioritisation to ensure SLAs and KPIs are consistently met.
  • Producing reports and reconciliations, including debtor analysis and bad debt reporting.
  • Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support effective issue resolution.

  • Proven experience in Credit Control, with a strong track record of delivering results.
  • Experience managing or supervising a team, with the ability to develop and motivate others.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with good Excel capability.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP (desirable).
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • A collaborative and team‑focused mindset.
