Euro Farm Wales are looking for a hard working individual to join our lairage team. Previous experience of working with cattle is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Understanding the delivery declarations and ensuring they are completed accurately, including checking the food chain information.
- Verifying that all cattle are present along with their passports.
- Ensuring that all cattle are penned appropriately within the legal requirements.
- Working strictly to the company procedures and ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed correctly.
- Meeting all legal requirements regarding water, feed, and bedding.
- Clarifying any anomalies with regard to the cattle in a timely manner, such as fallen stock or lairage incidents.
- Providing administration support for the Abattoir manager as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Animal Welfare Qualification (WATOC) - all relevant training will be given.
- Good practical skills.
- Teamwork skills.
- Good communication skills.
