Euro Farm Wales are looking for a hard working individual to join our lairage team. Previous experience of working with cattle is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Understanding the delivery declarations and ensuring they are completed, checking the food chain information is correct and completed accurately.
- Verifying that all cattle are present along with their passports.
- Ensuring that all cattle are penned appropriately within the legal requirements.
- Working strictly to the company procedures and ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed correctly.
- Ensuring all legal requirements are met with regards to water/feed/bedding.
- Clarifying any anomalies with regard to the cattle in a timely manner, such as fallen stock or lairage incidents.
- Providing administration support for the Abattoir manager as and when required.
Animal Welfare Qualification (WATOC) training will be provided. There will be further opportunities to attend Bristol University on an Animal Welfare Officer course.
