Euro Farm Wales are looking for a hard working individual to join our lairage team. Previous experience of working with cattle is essential.

  • Understand the delivery declarations, ensure that they are completed, checking the food chain information is correct and completed accurately. This should also be signed by the producer/keeper.
  • Verify that all cattle are present along with their passports.
  • Ensure that all cattle are penned appropriately within the legal requirements.
  • Work strictly to the company procedures and ensure all relevant paperwork is completed correctly.
  • Ensure all legal requirements are met with regards to water/feed/bedding.
  • Ensure any anomalies with regard to the cattle are clarified in a timely manner, such as fallen stock or lairage incidents.
  • Provide administration support for the Abattoir manager as and when required.
  • Animal Welfare Qualification (WATOC) - all relevant training will be given.
  • There will be further opportunities to attend Bristol University on an Animal Welfare Officer course.

Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
