AA Euro Group has been retained by its client to recruit for an Environmental Specialist to join our team delivering power and renewable energy projects. You will ensure our clients' construction sites meet environmental standards and help drive best practices across the business.
The Role:
- Be the main environmental contact across multiple construction sites.
- Advise teams and subcontractors on environmental rules and best practices.
- Help prepare and deliver Environmental Management Plans (EMPs, CEMPs).
- Ensure compliance with UK and Scottish environmental laws and permits.
- Carry out site inspections and audits, and support corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on environmental factors (e.g. noise, dust, water, ecology).
- Liaise with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Support environmental training and toolbox talks.
- Keep accurate records of environmental performance and incidents.
- Contribute to sustainability and carbon reduction efforts.
Requirements:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Science, Management, Ecology, or similar.
- Experience in a similar role in construction or infrastructure, preferably in energy.
- Strong understanding of environmental compliance and legislation in the UK/Scotland.
- Confident in reading and applying technical and regulatory documents.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
