Vehicle Compound & Sales Driver - Cardiff

  • Ensure vehicles stored are maintained effectively whilst on site and made available for Pre Delivery Inspection/Third Party work.
  • Ensure efficient movement of vehicles at all times.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness of all vehicles that are presented to internal and external customers at all times.

Reporting to

The Sales driver reports to the Sales Operations Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Load vehicles for Pre Delivery Inspections and Third Party attendance.
  • Accept delivery of vehicles, ensuring vehicles are correctly signed in and keys tagged appropriately.
  • Ensure correct storage of vehicles, carrying out relevant checks in line with process.
  • To collect and deliver from external suppliers, and body shops.
  • Efficient delivery of vehicles to customers including any necessary handover.
  • General cleanliness of vehicles in conjunction with the valeter and order of the yard.
  • Sole responsibility for producing valid receipts to cover expenses, to the accounts department.
  • Timely planning of all deliveries and collections.
  • Ensure that the company vehicle is maintained in line with both company and legal requirements.
  • Full inspection of vehicles upon collection, ensuring that any mechanical problems or accident damage is immediately reported and on a delivery note.
  • Responsible for own set of trade plates, to be kept with sales drivers at all times.
  • Handle all internal and external customers and suppliers with courtesy and ensure the Mercedes-Benz experience is delivered to all contacts at all times.
  • Operate and utilise vehicle transporter safely and efficiently for the collection, delivery, loading and unloading of vehicles in accordance with company procedures and road safety regulations.
  • Ensure tachograph compliance in line with regulations and company policy.
