Objectives
- To attend and complete the training course to gain the relevant apprenticeship qualification.
- To promote the sales of Manufacturers’ parts.
- To complete comprehensive practical training within the dealership.
Reporting
The parts apprentice reports to the Parts Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- To assist the parts personnel and department, in the control of all incoming stock, materials, returns and relevant paperwork.
- To maintain general tidiness of department.
- To assist in the efficient operation of the department.
- To receive, unload, identify and accurately check goods from suppliers and enter into stock.
- To report to seniors any discrepancies and damages.
- To ensure the security of all company property.
- To complete and update a work experience portfolio with the cooperation of the training assessor.
- To attend college on block release on a regular basis and to ensure a high standard of behaviour, attendance and conduct is maintained in line with Mercedes Benz expectation.
- To carry out any additional duties as requested and agreed.
- To ultimately learn all aspects of the parts department to include trade team and back counter parts sales.
