Key Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse operations, resources, and customer service within the branch, including line management of the General Assistant team.
• Ensure all warehouse areas conform to Health and Safety legislation.
• Work towards achieving key business metrics and KPIs aligned with company goals.
• Maintain compliance with branch standards to ensure balanced performance.
• Lead, coach, and develop teams to build necessary skills and capabilities.
• Conduct regular colleague reviews to enhance engagement and support development.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop a succession plan.
• Ensure effective recruitment to attract future talent.
• Deliver daily briefings to communicate key objectives and measures.
• Work hours: approximately 44 hours/week, Monday to Friday 8am-6pm, and alternate Saturdays 8am-4pm.

Skills and Experience

• Excellent communication skills to develop customer and colleague relationships.
• Experience leading a warehouse operations team with a customer-first attitude.
• Knowledge of recruitment processes.
• Understanding of P&L management and stock booking procedures.
• Ability to identify and resolve Health and Safety issues.
• Capability to review, challenge, and develop colleagues for optimal performance and growth.
