Key Responsibilities
- Manage warehouse operations, resources, and customer service within the branch, including line management of the General Assistant team.
- Ensure all warehouse areas conform to Health and Safety legislation.
- Work towards achieving key business metrics and KPIs aligned with company goals.
- Maintain compliance with branch standards to ensure balanced performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop teams to build necessary skills and capabilities.
- Conduct regular colleague reviews to enhance engagement and support development.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to develop a succession plan.
- Ensure effective recruitment to attract future talent.
- Deliver daily briefings to communicate key objectives and measures.
- Work hours: approximately 44 hours/week, Monday to Friday 8am-6pm, and alternate Saturdays 8am-4pm.
Skills and Experience
- Excellent communication skills to develop customer and colleague relationships.
- Experience leading a warehouse operations team with a customer-first attitude.
- Knowledge of recruitment processes.
- Understanding of P&L management and stock booking procedures.
- Ability to identify and resolve Health and Safety issues.
- Capability to review, challenge, and develop colleagues for optimal performance and growth.
