Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse operations, resource and customer service within the branch, including line management responsibility for the General Assistant team.
- Ensuring all areas of the warehouse always conform to Health and Safety legislation.
- Working to deliver a balanced performance across key business metrics and KPI measures in line with business goals and objectives.
- Ensuring the branch is fully compliant in line with the branch standards to maintain a balanced performance.
- Leading, coaching and developing teams to create the skills and capabilities needed both now and, in the future.
- Holding regular colleague reviews to strengthen colleague engagement and support development.
- Working with the Operations Manager to create a robust succession plan throughout the branch.
- Ensuring branch recruitment is right the first time, attracting future talent to the organisation.
- Delivering a structured daily briefing to ensure all colleagues understand key objectives and measures.
- Average of 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am 6pm and alternate Saturdays between the hours of 8am 4pm.
Skills And Experience
- Great communication skills demonstrate the ability to develop customer and colleague relationships.
- Leading a warehouse operations team with a customer first attitude.
- Knowledge of Recruitment processes.
- Knowledge and understanding of P&L’s, and the booking of in and out stock.
- Strong ability to highlight and resolve Health and Safety concerns.
- Ability to review, challenge and develop colleagues in order to achieve their best and help them develop.
