An exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Architect with an immediate start at a market leading, dynamic and renowned property, technology and innovative, technology-based car parking company. Euro Car Parks is a market leading, renowned UK business, established over 50 years ago. The company operates over 3500 sites across the UK and Ireland providing specialist services to a wide range of blue-chip clients.

The role involves:

  • Designing the target state for a multi-system SQL data estate.
  • Writing and tuning T-SQL.
  • Setting up security, monitoring, and operational practices.
  • Owning data architecture across reporting, ANPR, finance, and operational domains.
  • Working alongside the Solutions Architect, Head of Business Solutions, and Head of Development.
  • Managing a multi-year programme to decouple and replatform ETL processes.
  • Continuing the migration of the data warehouse and data lake to a modern dimensional model.
  • Rolling out a principle-of-least-privilege security model across a multi-server SQL estate.
  • Setting the technical direction for the data team.

Essential Skills:

  • Expert-level T-SQL and SQL Server internals (5+ years).
  • Experience with Redgate tooling.
  • Hands-on data warehouse design and build.
  • Production ETL development experience.
  • Operational SQL Server experience.
  • Azure SQL experience.
  • Power BI / SSRS authorship and architecture.
  • Data security model design.
  • PowerShell for SQL administration.
  • Working in an agile environment using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Affinity with AI-driven development tooling.
  • Experience with SQL replication.
  • Domain experience in vehicle/ANPR/parking, transport, retail or financial-services data.
  • Azure DevOps experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 controls relevant to data systems.
