Euro Auctions conducts unreserved auctions of industrial plant, construction equipment and agricultural machinery on a global basis with sites in the UK, Europe, UAE, Australia, and US. We are the market leader in Europe, holding more sales and selling more lots per sale than any other auction house.
We are looking for a skilled valeter who can work as part of our team within our busy auction yard. This role requires the cleaning of the interior and exterior of a variety of machinery that is to be sold through the auction. Previous valet experience is necessary but additional training will also be provided on the job.
The Job
- Ensuring all machines are washed and presented to a high standard.
- Assist other staff in organising and preparing the yard for each sale.
- Precise loading and unloading of machines.
The Person
This role is an active, outdoor job and requires someone with the ability to operate all types of heavy equipment and trucks. You will be required to work outdoors in all weathers as well as being physically fit to climb on and off machinery. If you have a knowledge of heavy plant/mining/quarry equipment, then we especially want to hear from you.
The Requirements
- We are looking for motivated, organised people.
- Ideally, you should be an experienced Yard Worker with a \βcan do\β attitude.
- Ability to take instruction as well as work on own initiative and follow Health & Safety legislation.
- Willingness to work regular overtime during busy auction periods.
- Prior experience operating and knowledge of all types of heavy equipment.
- A Forklift operator\βs certificate is desirable.
- Previous experience is desirable but not essential.
- 30 Days Annual Leave + additional days for long service.
- Christmas Shutdown
