Key Activities
- Assist with the preparation of stock pre auction.
- Support the identification of spraying and refinishing requirements.
- Carry out surface preparation work, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
- Assist with the application of undercoats and topcoats under supervision.
- Help with the stripping and reassembly of machinery and equipment where required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard while following company quality and safety procedures.
- Learn and develop practical skills in vehicle and machinery refinishing.
The Person
- This role is ideal for a student or individual looking to gain hands-on experience in spray painting and vehicle refinishing.
- You should be enthusiastic, willing to learn, and able to work as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
- Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to work outdoors year-round and be physically fit to climb on and off large equipment.

- Interest in vehicle, machinery, or industrial painting and refinishing.
- Studying or recently completed a qualification in vehicle body repair, spray painting, or a related subject.
- Willingness to learn spray painting techniques and workshop procedures.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to take instruction as well as work on own initiative and follow Health & Safety legislation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and English skills.
- Flexibility to work additional hours during busy auction periods when required (including weekends).
- Previous experience in spray painting, vehicle preparation, or a workshop environment is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of paint preparation, masking, or sanding techniques.
- Forklift operator's certificate (desirable but not essential).
