We are currently recruiting an experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen operation in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and organised chef looking for a great work-life balance in a Monday-Friday role.
Key Responsibilities- Planning and production of all menus in line with Compass requirements
- Full responsibility for allergen safety and staff training
- Use of Compass ordering and menu systems
- Ownership and completion of the Food Safety Log Book
- Completion of all daily food production and wastage sheets
- Delivery checks, stock storage, and correct stock rotation
- Regular stock taking
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in line with the cleaning schedule, including role-specific equipment
- Working closely with the Unit Manager to ensure full compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior kitchen role
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Skilled across all areas of food production, including pastry and baking
- Computer literate with experience using ordering and menu systems
- Quality-focused with excellent attention to detail
- Creative, consistent, and calm under pressure
- Able to deliver high standards of food consistently
