We're currently recruiting a dedicated Porter (Zero Hours) to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Eurest on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week.

As a Porter (Zero Hours), you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work.

  • Core Duties & Responsibilities
  • Food Transportation & Logistics
  • Transporting bulk food, meal trolleys between central kitchens, and linked units areas.
  • Loading and unloading catering vehicles, managing the safe delivery of catering supplies, stock, and frozen/chilled foods across multi‑site operations.
  • Rotating stock and date‑labelling food items to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Kitchen & Equipment Maintenance
  • Operating industrial dishwashers, pot-washing areas, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness for all kitchen utensils, crockery, and cutlery.
  • Ensuring food storage areas, freezers, and refrigerators are hygienic, tidy, and organised.
  • Clearing away waste and refuse from food preparation areas and disposing of it in accordance with environmental and hygiene regulations.
  • Event & Service Support
  • Setting up and breaking down dining areas, rearranging furniture, and preparing equipment for events.
  • Assisting kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks (e. g., peeling, chopping, washing) and portioning when needed.
