Offer Description

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to support research on a Leverhulme Research Project awarded to Dr Kim Bouwer, titled: A study of everyday climate litigation: examining law in the climate context. This three-year project aims to understand how everyday legal disputes are fought and resolved in the context of climate change, an area of legal study that remains largely unexplored despite extensive scholarly and policy work on \’climate litigation\’. The project seeks to establish a comprehensive understanding of the \’field\’ of climate litigation, including cases where litigants pursue their own interests. Since this role is grant-funded, it is fixed-term for three years, corresponding to the grant duration.

A postdoctoral research assistant with a completed or submitted PhD in climate change law/policy will be recruited at 80% full-time equivalent, with remote working available. The position allows time for teaching commitments, family responsibilities, or writing up a PhD or monograph.
