Applications are invited from senior academics working in any branch of the mathematical sciences for the NM Rothschild Professorship of Mathematical Sciences held in conjunction with the Directorship of the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences, to take up appointment on 1 October 2026.
The Isaac Newton Institute is the national Institute that promotes research of the highest international quality in the mathematical sciences for the benefit of the UK community, through major visitor programmes in selected, often interdisciplinary fields. The successful candidate will be a senior academic working in a branch of the mathematical sciences with appropriate administrative experience. The appointment will be for a fixed term of 5 years with the possibility of re-appointment for a further term of up to three years. The Professorship is held only for the duration of the Directorship of INI.
