As governments worldwide strengthen ESG regulations and the global water crisis intensifies, this role offers a unique opportunity to drive actionable insights and strategies at the intersection of ESG and politics.

The Senior Analyst could be based out of Eurasia Group’s offices in the US (Washington DC, New York), UK (London), or Brazil (São Paolo).

In this position, you will

  • assess country and regional political risks associated with ESG issues, with a dedicated focus on water policy.
  • analyze agriculture-specific policies related to water issues, providing insights into the political factors that influence policymaking and market-driven dynamics.
  • conduct in-depth research and write both succinct, forward-looking analyses and in-depth reports for clients.
  • brief both financial sector and corporate clients at a high and technical level.
  • adhere to tight deadlines and write in a clear, business-oriented fashion.
  • travel regularly across geographies.

The ideal candidate should

  • have a deep knowledge of water/agricultural policy and ESG-related regulatory efforts.
  • have an advanced degree in political science or other relevant discipline.
  • have excellent analytical and presentation (oral and written) skills.
  • have experience in integrating ESG and water considerations into responsible investment decision-making processes at the country and sectoral level.
  • have 5-7 years’ work experience conducting research on water and ESG policy; an understanding of the relevance of your research to investors, large corporations, and markets is required.
  • have previous experience in consulting or in large financial institutions.

All resumes should be submitted in English.
