Position Overview

The Manager of Events Communications and Audience Strategy works across the firm’s global events portfolio—from flagship summits to private roundtables—balancing hands‑on execution with strategic planning. The role engages senior leadership, commercial teams, Communications, and GZERO Media to elevate the firm’s convening platform, expand audience reach, and deliver measurable client value. A core focus is day‑to‑day collaboration with sponsoring clients, serving as their primary marketing partner throughout the event lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy and Execution
    • Contribute to and execute the overarching marketing strategy for Eurasia Group’s global events portfolio, ensuring alignment with firm‑wide commercial and engagement priorities.
    • Manage day‑to‑day marketing activities for multiple events simultaneously, including campaign setup, audience outreach, and performance tracking.
    • Develop integrated campaign strategies across digital, email, partnerships, and media channels to maximize reach and impact.
    • Support and collaborate with Events Managers and Associates across marketing, audience outreach, engagement, and analytics functions.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders—including commercial, research, and GZERO Media—to ensure consistent messaging and strategic alignment.
  • Sponsoring Client Collaboration and Advisory
    • Serve as the primary marketing and audience strategy contact for sponsoring clients, managing the relationship from kick‑off through post‑event reporting.
    • Conduct regular check‑ins and working sessions with sponsors to align on goals, review progress, address feedback, and adjust strategy as needed.
    • Translate sponsor objectives into clear, tailored event marketing strategies, including target audience profiles, messaging frameworks, and distribution plans.
    • Present campaign strategies, audience insights, and performance updates to sponsor contacts, with clarity and credibility appropriate to each stakeholder level.
    • Develop sponsor‑facing materials including briefing documents, strategy decks, and post‑event reports.
    • Proactively flag risks, surface recommendations, and maintain a high standard of responsiveness and communication throughout the client engagement.
    • Collaborate with internal commercial and client service teams to ensure sponsor expectations are well‑managed and deliverables are met on time.
  • Audience Strategy and Development
    • Support the development and execution of targeted audience growth strategies, focusing on senior public sector leaders, multilateral institutions, and C‑suite executives.
    • Identify priority audiences and build pathways to expand Eurasia Group’s network of high‑level participants.
    • Manage and execute audience outreach campaigns, including drafting invitations, managing contact lists, and tracking engagement.
    • Design and execute marketing partnerships to extend reach into key geographies, sectors, and policymaking communities.
    • Ensure a highly curated and senior attendee mix aligned with the strategic objectives of each convening.
  • Communications and Campaign Execution
    • Write and manage event marketing content, including website copy, email campaigns, and attendee communications, ensuring consistency with Eurasia Group’s voice.
    • Execute integrated marketing campaigns across in‑person and virtual formats, taking ownership of timelines, deliverables, and quality.
    • Deploy and maintain event websites using Eurasia Group’s event marketing platform.
    • Collaborate with Communications to align messaging across earned, owned, and partner channels.
  • Branding and Creative Direction
    • Support event branding and creative direction, ensuring consistency across onsite, digital, and promotional assets.
    • Coordinate with design teams to develop high‑quality event materials, including slides, printed collateral, and digital assets.
    • Draft and refine marketing materials such as pitch decks and sponsor‑facing content, incorporating input from senior colleagues as needed.
  • Press and Media Strategy
    • Support the Communications team in defining and executing media strategies for Eurasia Group’s events, including managing outreach to media partners.
    • Align with event sponsors and partners on press engagement and visibility opportunities.
  • Data, Analytics and Performance Optimization
    • Collect, organize, and analyze event performance data (registration trends, attendance, audience engagement).
    • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for internal teams and clients, refining audience targeting and campaign performance.
    • Produce post‑event reports and presentations for sponsors and internal stakeholders, clearly communicating outcomes against agreed success metrics.
    • Manage and grow Eurasia Group’s attendee database, maintaining high‑quality data on senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of experience in event marketing, audience development, client advisory, or strategic communications, ideally within a global, policy, or advisory environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing client or sponsor relationships directly, including day‑to‑day communication, progress updates, and delivering client‑facing materials.
  • Comfortable operating in both strategic and operational modes—able to develop a marketing plan and then execute it.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting presentations, reports, and marketing content for diverse audiences.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to track performance, identify trends, and make recommendations.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple events and workstreams simultaneously.
  • Experience collaborating across teams, including commercial, communications, and design.
