This role involves in-depth research and analysis of the Eurasia region, with a particular focus on Ukraine and Russia, and potentially Central Asia. The successful candidate will contribute to our strategic insights and support the Practice Head in delivering outstanding client-focused reports and presentations. This role will be based in our London office.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop comprehensive analyses focusing on Ukraine and Russia, with an opportunity to cover Central Asia.
- Collaborate closely with the Practice Head to deliver tailored insights for corporate clients, particularly in energy, agriculture, and defense sectors.
- Prepare and present research findings through data visualization techniques, ensuring complex information is accessible to stakeholders.
- Facilitate client-facing activities, including presentations and meetings with global markets and corporate clients.
- Maintain continuous awareness of political risks impacting the Eurasia region, advising both internal and external stakeholders.
- 3-5 years of experience in political analysis or a related field, with a strong understanding of political risk.
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Expertise in the Eurasia region, with advanced Russian language skills in both speaking and reading.
- Proven research and writing proficiency, with the ability to create reports that address both general and client-specific needs.
- Exposure to sectors such as energy, agriculture, or defense is advantageous, though not required in all.
- Experience or interest in working with hedge funds and institutional investors.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with experience engaging directly with clients and presenting complex information effectively.
- The right to work in the UK and flexibility to align work hours with the US-based Practice Head.
- Capability to travel, potentially once per quarter, to meet with clients.
