We are looking for a new member to join our diverse HR team who will take ownership of end-to-end payroll accounting processes across multiple European locations. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring a consistent, accurate and employee-focused payroll experience while partnering closely with HR, Finance and external payroll providers.
Over recent years, euNetworks has invested significantly in strengthening and standardising its European payroll processes, systems and external partnerships. We are now looking for someone who can take ownership of these well-established processes, maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance, and continue driving incremental improvements and strong stakeholder relationships.
What will you be doing?
- Payroll Processing: Accurately process monthly payrolls for all employees. Review and verify payroll-related documents. Calculate shift payments, on-call allowances, bonuses, and other pay-related information.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Generate payroll reports and summaries as required. Identify and resolve discrepancies in payroll records.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files. Update employee payroll information as needed, including changes in salary, benefits, and deductions. Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy.
- Employee Support: Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees. Provide information and assistance regarding payroll policies and procedures.
- System Administration: Utilise payroll software to process payroll and generate reports.
- Process Improvement: Maintain and continuously improve established payroll processes, controls and documentation to support operational excellence and scalability. Support the continued development and enhancement of payroll best practices across European operations. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Collaboration and Business Partnering: Collaborate closely with HR, Finance and external payroll providers to ensure a smooth, accurate and consistent payroll process across all European locations. Own and maintain strong working relationships with external payroll providers, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and high service standards across all payroll activities. Check and reconcile payroll on a monthly basis, including posting of payroll-related entries in the accounting system. Proactively investigate and resolve payroll-related queries and discrepancies, working collaboratively with local payroll specialists and internal stakeholders. Ensure employment-related tax compliance across all locations.
- Additional Responsibilities: Support payroll-related calculations including bonuses, commissions and capitalised labour. Prepare and process payroll-related payments where required. Assist with payroll reporting, cost centre analysis and ad-hoc data requests. Support staff cost forecasting and budgeting activities. Assist with payroll-related audit requests and year-end processes. Support relationships with external auditors and payroll providers. Contribute to payroll setup activities for new entities or territories as required. Maintain awareness of payroll legislation, compliance requirements and industry best practice.
What do we want from you?
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English.
- Payroll qualification, accounting qualification or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of European payroll processes and compliance.
- Strong systems aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new platforms.
- Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and experience working with large volumes of data.
- Business Central and Salesforce experience preferred but not essential.
- Experience supporting payroll reconciliations, reporting, audit activities and month-end processes.
- A proactive approach to maintaining accuracy, improving processes and supporting operational excellence.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within deadlines.
