As a Fibre Project Delivery Manager, you will lead the strategic delivery of our duct and fibre infrastructure build programme across the UK. You will be accountable for the execution of new metro and long-haul network builds, coordinating across functions and external partners to deliver scalable, compliant, and commercially sound projects that underpin our customer growth and retention objectives.
What will you be doing?
- Define and implement delivery frameworks and governance for fibre projects.
- Lead and mentor a team of Fibre Project Delivery Engineers, ensuring delivery consistency.
- Translate strategic goals into executable build plans, ensuring alignment across functions.
- Own stakeholder engagement across internal teams, external partners and end users.
- Oversee cost control, contractor management, risk, and change at a programme level.
- Drive regulatory compliance across CDM, HSWA, NRSWA and third-party access processes.
- Present regular reports to leadership covering risks, KPIs, progress and performance.
- Champion data integrity and documentation standards across the project portfolio.
Team structure:
You will be providing guidance and support to Fibre Project Delivery Engineers, external contractors as well as various internal functions. You will receive guidance and support from the UK Field Services Manager and team colleagues.
What do we want from you?
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Civil Engineering, Communications, Networking, Electronics, Computer Systems) or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years experience managing the complete lifecycle of large-scale telecoms duct and fibre infrastructure projects.
- Leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and external delivery partners.
- Deep knowledge of duct and fibre network build processes, permitting, network operations and regulation.
- Commercial acumen across contractor performance, budgeting and cost controls.
- Skilled in executive stakeholder management and programme governance.
- Strong command of planning tools, dashboards and reporting standards.
