The Cost Appraisal Manager will work closely with the Finance, Operations and Procurement functions to establish best practice across the organisation. This will encompass process review and optimisation, cost benchmarking and governance.

What will you be doing?

  • Establish best practices: Review, improve and maintain cost approval processes to promote best practices across the organisation.
  • Monitor and analyse performance: Track key cost incurrence metrics and budgets, analyse data, and prepare reports to measure the effectiveness of procurement and cost creation activities.
  • Perform vendor audits: Conduct annual audits of vendors to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance standards.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives: Identify and implement cost-saving measures through strategic sourcing and process optimisations.
  • Collaborate with operations and procurement teams: Work closely with various departments to understand their needs, identify sourcing opportunities, and implement procurement strategies that align with their objectives.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies: Analyse spending patterns and develop sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

What do we want from you?

  • You are self-motivated from either a Financial or Operational background, with a proven track record in effective cost optimisation.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in dealing with financial concepts and large data sets.
  • Ability to effectively work across stakeholder groups in a range of different functional areas.
  • Preferred: Experience working within a digital infrastructure setting, experience working with Salesforce and/or Business Central.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
