About Eucalyptus
We’re on a mission to make good health last a lifetime. More than 1 billion people live with obesity worldwide, driving preventable chronic conditions. We’re here to build better long‑term care.
Euc is the company behind Juniper, one of the world’s largest weight‑management programs combining GLP‑1 medication with personalised nutrition, movement support, and clinician‑led care from prescribers, nurses, health coaches, pharmacists, and dietitians. Our published clinical research shows that our combined clinical and behavioural approach helps patients lose significantly more weight during their treatment with Juniper by four times.
Our Growth Story:
130% YoY revenue growth and a 90% reduction in cash burn, with $100M+ raised from investors including BOND, NewView, Blackbird and Airtree.
Supported over 350k patients living with obesity across our 5 markets.
Received selective NICE endorsement to provide services to the NHS.
Why this role exists:
International expansion has been the growth engine behind many of the defining consumer technology companies of our time - Uber, Airbnb, Doordash, Revolut. Our ambition is to be the next version of this in digital health: the world’s leading international consumer health platform.
Following our acquisition by Hims & Hers, international expansion is the top priority for Eucalyptus. We’re building the international arm of the leading consumer health platform globally and we’re growing the team responsible for making that happen.
Our international expansion team owns everything from evaluating whether we should enter a market, to launching and scaling within it. We move fast, operate with high autonomy, and hold ourselves accountable to outcomes.
We See Our International Expansion Work In Three Phases:
- Select new markets: Evaluate new markets, build the business case, make the go/no‑go call
- Launch new markets: Own a market from post‑due‑diligence to first patient
- Scale launched markets: Win in launched markets by placing data‑driven bets and owning the P&L
Depending on where you join and where the business needs you, you'll own one of these phases. As we grow, you will move across all three.
What You’ll Be Doing (why this role is interesting):
If you're working on selecting new markets:
You are the person we drop into a country and trust to come back with an answer. That means owning the full due diligence process: competitive landscape, regulatory environment, commercial sizing, pharmacy infrastructure, and pharma partnership opportunities. You'll meet with the people who know the market: potential pharmacy partners, pharma companies, advisors, industry experts and you'll synthesise everything into an investment thesis that gives leadership what they need to go/no‑go decision.
If you're working on launching a new market:
You are the end‑to‑end owner of a market launch - from the first local hire to the first patient acquired. You'll navigate systems, tools, and regulatory environments that nobody has mapped for you yet. You'll build the local team, sign the first pharmacy partner, and keep every workstream moving through rigorous project management and execute every workstream to a world‑class standard.
If you're working on scaling a launched market:
You own the P&L. You run experiments to improve the funnel, make data‑driven bets, and build the systems that let your team do the same. You'll hire and develop local talent, hold them accountable to OKRs, and identify the next opportunity to win in that market.
Skills And Experience:
You have at least 2+ years experience working in a high pressure environment such as law, consulting (MBB preferred) or investment banking. In addition, we will prioritise candidates who also have between 1-3 years working as an operator, preferably in a recent high‑growth startup. We are open to considering candidates with other experiences, however we operate at the intensity of these types of organisations and are uncompromising on our expectations.
- Commercial modelling: You can build a commercial model from scratch, make your assumptions explicit, and defend them
- Business understanding & due diligence: You quickly grasp what makes a market successful for Eucalyptus, what the unit economics depend on, and how different markets compare. You use that understanding to frame your research and produce a clear, structured point of view on a go/no go decision
- Due diligence: You can research a new market independently and produce a clear, structured answer
- Negotiation: You've had real commercial conversations with partners, suppliers, pharma companies and moved them forward
- Project management: You've run complex cross‑functional workstreams with real accountability
- Communication: You write tight investment theses and clear slide decks
- Founder mindset: You operate like a founder and enjoy the hustle of getting things done. You are an example of resilience and ownership - when something breaks you fix it, you don’t wait for others.
- Data & SQL (Nice to have): You're comfortable getting your own answers from data - writing SQL queries, building dashboards, and stress‑testing your own assumptions without waiting for an analyst to do it for you
Behaviours & Attitudes:
You act like an owner and lead with humility.
You're resilient and adaptable.
You move fast.
You think from first principles.
Who You’ll Be Working With:
This role reports to Alejandro Ugarte Limer, Head of International Expansion, and you’ll work day‑to‑day with:
Deniz Ekmekci (Senior Launcher - International Expansion)
Owi Weerawardena (Launcher - International Expansion)
Benjamin Emmanuel (Launcher - International Expansion)
Jordan McTeare (Global Head of Performance Marketing)
Ryan Nolan (VP, International Expansion)
