An established UK manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support ongoing production and site operations.

The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of production equipment and site services within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role requiring both electrical and mechanical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and carry out fault finding and repairs
  • Maintain extrusion and injection moulding machinery, along with associated plant equipment
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Support continuous improvement and machinery upgrades
  • Assist with tooling changes and equipment set up
  • Maintain site services including cooling systems, compressors, and general facilities

Requirements

  • Multi-skilled engineer with both electrical and mechanical experience
  • Strong fault-finding ability on production machinery
  • Experience with PLCs, drives, motors, and control systems
  • Mechanical skills such as bearings, gearboxes, belts, and general repairs
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • 18th Edition (BS 7671) or equivalent essential
  • Engineering qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent)
