A well-established manufacturer of bespoke mechanical assembly systems is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to manage and develop relationships with a strong existing customer base across the North-West of England and the Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Lincolnshire regions. This business enjoys a long-standing reputation within the UK manufacturing sector, supplying innovative engineered solutions to blue-chip customers across sectors including automotive, aerospace, white goods, and general manufacturing.

The role focuses on deepening relationships with established clients and identifying new project opportunities within your regional territory - there is no cold calling. You will engage directly with engineers, operations managers, and key stakeholders to understand their production challenges and provide tailored mechanical assembly solutions designed to improve performance and efficiency.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven track record in technical sales, business development, or applications engineering within the manufacturing or engineering sector.
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Confident communicator with strong technical understanding and commercial awareness.
  • Self-motivated and well-organised, capable of managing a regional field-based role.
  • Current UK driving licence and ability to work in the UK without sponsorship.
  • Ideally based in or near Manchester, Bradford, Preston, Wakefield, Oldham, Sheffield, Warrington, Liverpool, Stockport, Blackburn, Wigan, Halifax, Leeds, Doncaster, Nottingham, or Lincoln.
