Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced electrical schematics and control systems
- Analyse, verify, and optimise electrical designs to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance
- Generate technical requirements and specifications for electrical systems
- Capture, document, and maintain electrical schematics to a high standard
- Select suitable cables and protective devices, considering safety, function, and cost
- Provide technical input on component selection and system configuration
- Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary engineering and project teams
- Participate in internal and customer-facing meetings where required
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with ESCO's engineering procedures
Required Qualifications and Skills
- HNC or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Proven experience in electrical design and system specification
- Good working knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering documentation tools
- Experience in schematic capture and reviewing electrical drawings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A flexible, solutions-oriented engineering approach
- Experience in the design of electrical systems for defence or industrial applications
- Familiarity with Zuken E3
- Knowledge of electronics, control systems, or signal processing
