Responsibilities

  • Design and develop advanced electrical schematics and control systems
  • Analyse, verify, and optimise electrical designs to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance
  • Generate technical requirements and specifications for electrical systems
  • Capture, document, and maintain electrical schematics to a high standard
  • Select suitable cables and protective devices, considering safety, function, and cost
  • Provide technical input on component selection and system configuration
  • Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary engineering and project teams
  • Participate in internal and customer-facing meetings where required
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with ESCO's engineering procedures

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • HNC or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Proven experience in electrical design and system specification
  • Good working knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering documentation tools
  • Experience in schematic capture and reviewing electrical drawings
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A flexible, solutions-oriented engineering approach
  • Experience in the design of electrical systems for defence or industrial applications
  • Familiarity with Zuken E3
  • Knowledge of electronics, control systems, or signal processing
