An established UK manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to support ongoing production and site operations. This is a hands-on role requiring both electrical and mechanical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and carry out fault finding and repairs
- Maintain extrusion and injection moulding machinery, along with associated plant equipment
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Support continuous improvement and machinery upgrades
- Assist with tooling changes and equipment set up
- Maintain site services including cooling systems, compressors, and general facilities
Requirements:
- Multi-skilled engineer with both electrical and mechanical experience
- Strong fault-finding ability on production machinery
- Experience with PLCs, drives, motors, and control systems
- Mechanical skills such as bearings, gearboxes, belts, and general repairs
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- 18th Edition (BS 7671) or equivalent essential
- Engineering qualification (City & Guilds or equivalent)
