The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies, working on several fast moving lines, driven by PLC automated machinery. The ideal candidate will come from a medium to heavy engineering background, but this is by no means a necessity and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with a mechanical bias, and have manufacturing experience. You will also be involved in the maintenance of vacuum pump furnaces and steel forming machinery, overhead cranes, general mechanical work on pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes other manufacturing heavy machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
