Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Location: Macclesfield

Shift Pattern:

  • Week 1 - Mon-Thurs nights 12hrs
  • Week 2 - Wed-Fri Days 12hrs
  • Week 3 - Mon, Tues, Fri Days 12hrs
  • Week 4 - Wed-Fri Days 12hrs
  • Week 5 - Mon-Wed Days 12hrs

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + Pension + Overtime

The Company:

Key Skills:

  • Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience of PLC systems & Automated machinery
  • Understanding of PPM systems

The Role:

  • Respond to breakdowns and carry out planned maintenance, statutory checks and inspections across site
  • Prioritise workload in liaison with the Engineering Team Leader to minimise downtime and meet business needs
  • Complete end-of-shift reports, logging completed work and flagging issues for the incoming team
  • Control contractors on site, including inductions and permits, ensuring safe and compliant working
  • Work within company health, safety and environmental policies, applying permit to work and isolation systems as required
  • Support a range of engineering and non-engineering projects across the business
  • Be prepared to cover additional hours in emergency situations
  • Work on motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, PLC FF (S7/AB), load cells, contactors, gearboxes, pumps, labelling machines, print machines
