My client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of packaging solutions to the engineering and manufacturing industries with over 80 years of experience. The group has gone from strength to strength on a global level and continues to grow through product innovation and a reputation for excellence. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit a mechanical design engineer from their Bristol office.

The Role
Reporting to the Mechanical Design Lead, you will be responsible for designing innovative and cost-effective solutions for end-of-line packaging automation solutions. The role will be a mix of concept and redesign of existing products.
Key duties
- Design packaging solutions, experience of AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault primarily or SolidWorks.
- The role will be primarily office-based, but there will be some travel required for site surveys and workshop commissioning.
- Interpretation of GA drawings, Factory and Machine Layouts.
- Bespoke Special Purpose Machinery Design Experience.
- Experience with Moving Parts, Robots, Servo Motors, Chains, Pneumatics & Linear Actuators, and Conveyor Assembly drawing and BOMs.
There is a huge scope and variety on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
