The plant in Wakefield has recently undergone an extensive investment plan in new machinery and processes and is one of the UK’s largest food processing manufacturing plants of its kind. They continue to expand, based on the reputation they have built for quality delivery of products; they have become an extremely secure employer, in the North of England.
Key Skills
- Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- FMCG manufacturing experience.
- Understanding of PPM systems
The Role
You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering and have experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules, project based work within a high speed automated environment. There will be lots of fast moving machinery such as conveyors, packaging machinery, slicers, plant machinery, mincers, grinders, thermoforming packaging machines, ink printers and herma labellers.
Ideally you will be able to read electrical diagrams with 17th/18th edition, inverter knowledge and TIG welding experience would be desirable. Some team leader or supervisory experience would also be desirable. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
