The Company
My client is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of turnkey machinery solutions to a wide variety of fast moving manufacturing industries. They have over 100 employees on site in Bromborough. With a growing presence, the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become a centre of excellence within a variety of food machinery solutions to the manufacturing industry. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit an additional software PLC engineer.
Key Skills

The Role
- Develop, test, and commission PLC and HMI software for processing and packaging equipment.
- Establish and manage a remote support system for engineers and customers.
- Provide remote and on-site support - diagnosing faults, guiding repairs, and implementing software updates.
- Travel across the UK & Ireland (approx. 40-50%) for commissioning, integration, and technical support.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and project teams on complete automation solutions.
- Maintain software documentation, system standards, and remote access procedures.
- Ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards and contribute to continuous improvement.
Ideally you will be an experienced PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer with strong electrical knowledge. Skilled in Siemens S7 / TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley & Mitsubishi. Background in capital equipment, packaging, or process automation would be advantageous. This is a fantastic opportunity, within an extremely secure organisation, with the ability to develop your skills at the cutting edge of automated process manufacturing technology.
