Salary: £47,044 - £51,012 + Pension + Extensive Benefits

Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday (days and nights) shifts are 7am/pm - 7pm/am; Friday and Saturday (day and nights) shifts are 7am/7pm - 6pm/am; Sunday day shift is 7am - 6.30pm; Sunday night is 7pm - 7am.

Supplying their products into the varied industries, the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become a centre of excellence within the industry they specialise in. Due to further expansion within the UK market, they need to recruit an additional Maintenance Engineer.

Key Skills

  • Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience of PLC systems & Automated machinery
  • Understanding of PPM systems

The Role

  • Maintenance & Repairs
    • Fix breakdowns and faults quickly (reactive maintenance)
    • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
    • Respond to emergency issues to reduce downtime
    • Use a CMMS (computerised maintenance system) to manage jobs
  • Installation & Upgrades
    • Lead installation of new equipment or modifications
    • Work on mechanical and electrical systems
    • Ensure all work meets safety regulations
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Suggest ways to improve machine reliability
    • Reduce downtime through process improvements
    • Take part in Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement systems
  • Documentation & Safety
    • Update maintenance records in CMMS
    • Perform risk assessments
    • Follow permit-to-work systems
    • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards

Technical Skills

You should be comfortable working with:

  • PLC systems
  • Electrical systems
  • Robotics
  • Pneumatics
  • Hydraulics (Bonus)
  • Injection moulding machines

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • ONC in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical)
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Maintenance Engineering
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382)
