The Role
You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in electrical engineering. Working in a medium to heavy manufacturing environment carrying out system accuracy tests, temperature uniformity surveys and instrument calibrations on gas fired furnaces. You will also work on forge machinery, furnaces, overhead cranes, bandsaws, heat treatment bays, precision machines, PLCs, motors, invert drives.
The role also requires a proactive approach as you will take part in waste reduction initiatives on site. As part of the maintenance function, you will be actively encouraged to get involved with process improvement initiatives along with planned and preventative maintenance ensuring maximum output and the least amount of disruption to production. The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary and the opportunity to progress technically with time.
