The Company

My client is a world leading manufacturer of processing and packaging technology to a wide variety of industries. With a worldwide presence, the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become centre of excellence within a variety of machinery solutions to the manufacturing industry. Due to further expansion within the FMCG market, they have the need to recruit an additional design engineer.

Key Skills

• Degree in Mechanical or Similar Engineering
• Working Knowledge of 3D CAD – Ideally SolidWorks

The Role

• Senior mechanical design engineer responsible for design of special purpose machinery using SolidWorks
• Attend specification meetings with global customers for design aspect of projects UK and internationally
• Design and development of customers specifications
• Take the lead in the mechanical design aspects of the projects
• Produce parts lists, assembly drawings and detail drawings.
• Complete engineering design on time to the project plan.
• Be aware of cost targets in design, purchasing, and assembly.
• Liaise with stakeholders and projects
