Days Based Role

The Company

My client is a world leading manufacturer of processing and packaging technology to a wide variety of industries. With a worldwide presence, the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become a centre of excellence within a variety of machinery solutions to the manufacturing industry. Due to further expansion within the FMCG market, they have the need to recruit an additional design engineer.

The Role

The role will require you to design electrical control systems for packaging machinery. This would involve using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN for circuit designs, complete control system safety analysis and develop machine software.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to understand their specifications and direct the in house electrical and mechanical design teams
  • Work towards engineering deadlines and document engineering activities
  • Complete engineering designs
  • Understand and document costs associated with the projects
  • Attend project meetings
  • Take the lead on projects

Duties

  • Electrical design using AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN
  • Create and develop PLC software
  • Produce BOMs
  • Commission equipment on site, willing to travel domestically and internationally when required
