My client is a global leading manufacturer within the field of glass process engineering and associated products supplying into a wide variety of industries. The company is a well-established producer to the global markets, having plants in the UK, Europe, Asia, and America. The company are investing in a new state of the art facility in St. Helens to expand operations within this globally secure organisation.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with electrical bias (but some multi-skilled knowledge) and have process machinery manufacturing experience. If you have worked on PPM systems, it would be advantageous. You will work on automated controlled glass forming machinery, furnaces, clutches, drives, gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work, together with other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
