Days Based Role – Monday to Friday

Based within one of the UK’s leading turnkey specialist manufacturing groups, my client is looking to recruit an experienced mechanical design engineer to add to their engineering team. The facility in Runcorn has and will benefit from further investment this year, to increase capacity. This manufacturing specialist is a secure group during the current economic uncertainty and has been established over 30 years, with a global presence and security that comes with a centre of engineering excellence.

The Role:

You will be an Experienced Project Manager, responsible for managing a small multi-disciplined design and manufacturing team, working on technically complex applications - Robotics & Automation solutions. The role will require the person to manage all aspects of the Project Life-cycle. You will be responsible for working closely with the team and clients to ensure that projects are delivered on time, in the most efficient and cost-effective way, whilst maintaining extremely high quality standards.

The person will have excellent planning and communication skills, being able to explain what is required to the manufacturing team and managing time effectively as there will be multiple projects running alongside each other at any given time. Some travel will be included in this role both nationally and internationally.

You will be qualified to HNC/Degree level in Engineering discipline, with proven Project management experience, preferably within an advanced manufacturing environment along with:

  • Experience of Contract Management and budget control
  • Strong Leadership Skills
  • Ability to Lead numerous projects at one time
  • Ability to deliver in accordance with existing ISO9001 QMS
