An excellent opportunity has arisen with one of the UK’s instantly recognisable FMCG manufacturers, a leading manufacturer, specialising in food manufacturing. Benefiting from recent investment on new state of the art production lines, which will in turn aid the further expansion of this already rapidly growing organisation, which has been established for 30 years.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies. This will be a reactive and a proactive maintenance role, working to and carrying out the monthly PPM work. The ideal candidate will come from an electrical (or mechanical) engineering background, though if you have strong mechanical skills with some electrical qualifications, this will be considered, and you should be able to work on your own initiative, be a time served engineer with multi-skilling and have fast moving manufacturing experience. A good working knowledge of PPM systems will be advantageous. If you have worked on PLC systems, it would be a bonus. On a day to day basis you also will work on gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
