The Role
You will be responsible for the day to day running of operations, directly managing the Engineering resource as well as indirectly managing the manufacturing process. A key part of this role is providing Management Information and ensuring that the Engineering Products are delivered on time and to budget. We are looking for somebody to lead a culture of continuous improvement to ensure projects are managed successfully from cradle to grave, managing the safe delivery of projects, providing monthly feedback on Time, Cost, Quality and Risk. Strong Project Management skills are essential.
The ideal candidate is somebody with an Engineering management background who is comfortable managing a team and implementing systems to improve performance with strong people management skills. This candidate will understand the entire process; from customer engagement at the quoting process, allocating the appropriate resource to a project, ensuring the correct quality documentation is in place, avoiding design and project creep and keeping projects on time and within budget. We are looking for somebody who can demonstrate a proven background of delivering budget against performance, managing the P & L. This is an autonomous role where you will have the ability to shape and influence the business for the future with the support of a well-established team.
